Doug Beeforth - Sportsnet

Today's podcast is an exclusive Broadcaster interview with Doug Beeforth, President of Rogers Sportsnet.

Doug has been involved in sports broadcasting for over 25 years with networks in both Canada and the United States. His resume includes a decade spent with Hockey Night in Canada, an Emmy Award for his work with NBC Sports on the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul and two Gemini Awards for excellence in Canadian sports television. He was named CTV?s Vice President of Sports in 1994, the same year he became part of the group that applied for, and later won the license for what eventually became Sportsnet, launching in 1998. Since that time, Beeforth has been a senior executive with the channel, becoming President in 2002.
